YMCA Camp Sea Gull Trip

September 7-9, 2018

This is a three-day, two night trip to the YMCA’s Camp Sea Gull on the North Carolina coast!
YMCA Camp Sea Gull is a 350 acre resident camp on the Neuse River. The YMCA and The First Tee of the Triangle have partnered together to offer a weekend camp for The First Tee of the Triangle participants! For more information on YMCA Camp Sea Gull, please click here.
Depart: Friday, September 7 at noon from The First Tee of the Triangle office
Return: Sunday, September 9 at 3:00 pm, pick-up at The First Tee of the Triangle office
ELIGIBILITY: This camp is open to BOTH males and females ages 11 and up! Participants must be at least 11 years old by September 1, 2018.
REGISTRATION FEE: The camp fee is $179 per participant. Scholarships are available! To apply for a scholarship, simply start the registration process, and click “yes” when you get to “financial aid.”
CAMP ACTIVITIES: golf, zip-line, rope swing, giant blob on the lake, canoeing, basketball, creative arts, archery, tennis, and many more!
TRANSPORTATION: Children will be transported from The First Tee of the Triangle’s office to Camp Sea Gull on the first day of the trip. Please drop your child off no later than 12:00 pm on Friday, September 7. Campers will return to The First Tee of the Triangle office at 3:00 on Sunday, September 9. We will provide additional arrival and departure details before the trip.
STAFF: The First Tee of the Triangle’s staff and volunteers will accompany the campers to Camp Sea Gull. The First Tee of the Triangle’s program staff will lead the trip and remain at Camp Sea Gull for the duration of the trip. Camp Sea Gull will also provide staffing to oversee activities on site.
MEALS: Participants will eat all meals in the Dining Hall at Camp Sea Gull. The food service director plans well-balanced meals that are served family style. The menu offers plenty of choices, and healthy snacks are provided. Please give any special dietary restrictions to the program staff prior to your child’s departure for camp.
CABINS: Campers will sleep in cabins. Bathroom and shower facilities have an ample supply of hot water. There will be an employee or volunteer from The First Tee of the Triangle sleeping in each cabin.
MEDICAL ATTENTION: Medical needs will be provided by a physician, RN, LPN, or EMT who will be on site at Camp Sea Gull during the program. Each participant will be required to submit medical forms for registration.
